Yesterday afternoon AEV, my animal rescue group, participated in the Jefferson County Animal Rescue Team training. We had members from our group, 2 large animal rescue, Evergreen Animal Protective League, Denver Dumb Friends League, Table Mountain Animal Shelter, American Humane Associated and various vets/techs. Our group concentrated on the dispatch and response to "rescue" the animals. The animals were really pictures of pets on a stick and were located in the next parking lot! It was a good exercise in paperwork and communication via radios.
